The Foundation Fighting Blindness is the driving force in the global development of treatments and cures for blinding diseases. We accomplish this by:
• Funding cutting-edge science in gene therapy, stem cell research, and emerging technologies — all aimed at saving and restoring sight.
• Investing in clinical trials, connecting patients with resources, and bringing together researchers and industry leaders so that breakthroughs in the lab can translate into real treatments, faster.
The Foundation has helped, in part, to fund and advance 50+ clinical trials for potential treatments. This year, we've funded 113 grants globally, across 90 institutions, supporting 124 investigators.
